Modern cryotherapy technology solution
CryoPen, the cryosurgical pen, offers the most advanced cryotherapy solution. The cryogenic micro-stream (N2O) with a freezing temperature of – 89°C is applied under high pressure exactly to the protuberance you want to remove for cosmetic or health reasons. Thanks to cryogen’s thin stream, it is possible to point the lesion with 1 mm accuracy and thus remove even very small formations without damaging the surrounding tissue and without the risk of scarring. The cryogen penetrates the tissue at a rate of 1 mm in 5 seconds. Thus, you remove a formation 2 mm in size in as little as 10 seconds. An advantage is that the treatment does not require any special preparation.
The pain experienced during cryosurgical removal of skin growths and warts varies from person to person. It depends on the type and size of the growth, as well as the person's sensitivity.
Extreme precision – maximum treatment control!
Benefits of using CryoPen:
- non-surgical removal of benign lesions
- quick and simple procedure – removes a formation 2 mm in size in 10 seconds
- extremely precise procedure – maximum control over treatment
- minimal risk of scar formation after removal
- usually, one treatment is enough (however, when removing certain formations, it is sometimes necessary to repeat the procedure)
- the treatment is also safe for children
Possible side effects of the cryosurgical removal of larger lesions:
- recovery time may be longer
- pigmentation deformation may occur
- n rare cases, a scar may form at the removal site
We are the only facility in SLOVAKIA performing CryoPen treatment.
When the CryoPen cannot be used
We do not remove the following skin problems with the cryosurgical pen – CryoPen:
- brown discoloured marks
- growths on and around the genitals
- growths on the eye, near the eye
- growths on the face
- growths in the hair
Please note: Cryosurgical pen treatment is not possible in diabetic patients or cancer patients.
Healing and care after the CryoPen treatment
The treatment area is allowed to heal naturally without a patch. A patch is only necessary in exceptional cases, only at the site where there is strong friction, e.g. at the hem of underwear, etc.). Healing is faster if the scab is not covered and there is free access to air.
Do not scrape, scratch or apply any cosmetic products to the scab and do not expose it to moisture (bath, swimming pool, sauna, massage with oil, etc.) for the first 24 hours. You may experience itching or tightening of the skin, which is a normal healing process.
After about 2-3 weeks, the scab will fall off by itself. Then you can start applying moisturizer, ideally with SPF 50+ to protect the treatment area from the sun and to minimize the risk of unwanted pigmentation.
Post-treatment follow-up is not necessary if the treated area does not bleed or fester. Otherwise, it is necessary to come in immediately to check the problem.
