Profhilo® application process
The procedure uses very fine needles. As the application requires only a small number of injections, no anaesthesia is needed. However, an anaesthetic cream can be used for greater comfort.
During the facial biomodelling, hyaluronic acid is injected in five points on each half of the face. These points are pre-determined areas where the skin is the most weakened and flabby. The whole treatment including application of local anaesthesia usually does not take longer than 30-60 minutes.
Besides the face, Profhilo® can also be applied to other areas: forehead, neck, back of the hands, décolleté, inner side of the hands or the knee area.
The Profhilo® biomodelling is recommended as two separate sessions. The ideal span for optimum effect is 1 month. To strengthen and maintain the effect, we recommend repeating the treatment after 6-12 months, depending on the individual condition of the skin.
Who is this treatment suitable for?

Contraindications
The treatment is not intended for pregnant and breastfeeding women or in case of allergy to hyaluronic acid. The application is not recommended during an ongoing acute or chronic illness, infection or inflammation of the treated area.
This treatment is not suitable for people who are prone to keloid scarring. This is because the active ingredient, polylactic acid, stimulates collagen production in the skin, which could exacerbate keloid scarring.
