Who is this operation suitable for?

The minimally invasive Preservé™ breast augmentation method is an ideal solution for women who desire natural-looking breasts without the need of a large operation. The surgery is suitable for women from 18 years of age who want to augment or gently model their breasts by 1-3 cups (implants with up to 11 cm base width) while preserving the breasts' natural shape, structure and sensitivity.

The method is particularly intended for women with a sufficient volume of their own tissue where they want to achieve a visible but natural-looking result without a deep incision or damage to the breast muscle structures. What is the procedure for Preservé™ surgery?

The minimally invasive Preservé™ breast augmentation proceeds in multiple, carefully planned steps, with emphasis on maximum care, safety and comfort.

1. Consultation and 3D draft
The whole process begins with a personal consultation with a plastic surgeon, which includes a detailed examination, discussion about the expectations and choice of the suitable implant type and size. We use a 3D chest scan to create a realistic visual model of the result, which will help you to picture your new silhouette more accurately. The implants are the cutting-edge Motiva Ergonomix 2 with a SmoothSilk surface.

A 3D visualization is only possible for breast augmentation and is not part of the package. It is provided on request and charged separately on the basis of a price list.

2. Customized anaesthesia
The surgery can be performed in tumescent anaesthesia in combination with analgosedation or under general anaesthesia (as required by the client). The choice depends on the client's individual indication and personal comfort.

3. Minimally invasive incision and space creation
The surgeon makes a small incision 2–3 cm in the inflammatory fold where the scar is the least visible. Using a Channel Separator tool and a special balloon, the surgeon makes a space for the implant with utmost care – the tissues are not cut, only gently stretched, so that their natural structure and sensitivity are preserved.

4. Implant insertion without touching skin
The implant is inserted by means of a disposable sterile tool – a so-called funnel, which allows for a "no-touch" operation. This method guarantees no contact with the skin or hand so that it strongly reduces a risk of contamination or postoperative complications.

5. Final treatment and ending the surgery
After correct positioning of the implants, the wound is closed by an internal absorbable suture and covered by a Steri-Strip. There is no need of a drain. The whole operation takes about 90 minutes, while the actual implantation takes less than 15 minutes.

Convalescence following the Preservé™ procedure

Compared with classical breast augmentation methods, convalescence after the minimally invasive Preservé™ augmentation is much faster and more comfortable. Thanks to a gentle approach, which does not damage the natural breast tissues, most of the clients recover quickly and without serious limitations.

The first day after surgery
In case of local anaesthesia, the client leaves for home on the same day. In case of general anaesthesia, she stays in the clinic one night under supervision of the medical staff. The woman can stand up and take a short walk in the room within a few hours after waking up.

The first days at home
After leaving the clinic, we recommend three days of resting regimen at home – either home-office or complete rest. During this period, avoid physical exertion, lifting hands or any other rapid movements in the chest area.

A week after surgery
From the first week, you can gradually return to the normal daily activities such as easy walk or simple housework. In most cases, work in an office is possible after 5 to 7 days, especially if the work is not physically demanding.

Physical exertion and sport
We recommend returning to physical exertion, sport or lifting objects heavier than 5 kg after six weeks, when the tissues become sufficiently healed and the implants stably seated. The particular timetable of returning to a sport should always be individually determined by a doctor according to the healing process.

Compression bra and the follow-up care
After the operation, the client must wear a special compression bra for six weeks. It promotes correct implant seating and minimizes a risk of dislocation. In some cases, the doctor can recommend gentle breast massage, which facilitates the shaping and regeneration. The timing and procedure will be explained to you personally during postoperative examinations.

Checks and result
You will come back to the clinic for regular checks where the doctor examines the healing and the result. The first check takes place several days after the surgery (usually on the 5th to 7th day), then as required. The first indications of the results are visible immediately after the surgery, but the final shape and position of the breasts become stabilized after 2–3 months, when the swells and seating of the implants are terminated.

How quickly can I get back to work?

• Most of the clients can work at home-office on the 3rd day and in an office on the 7th day after the Preservé™ surgery, depending on the type of work. You will arrange everything with your doctor during a consultation.

Is the result permanent?

Can I breastfeed after Preservé™?

• Yes, this method does not damage the mammary glands or the neural pathways.

Is the surgery painless?

• Thanks to the gentle methods and suitable anaesthesia, most of the clients feel no pain during the surgery. The operation can be followed by slight feelings of pressure or tension, but they are temporary and can be resolved by standard analgesics.

When can I sleep on my side after the surgery?

• We recommend sleeping on the back for at least 4–6 weeks. You can sleep on your side after an approval from a surgeon, when the implants become seated and the tissues healed.

Will I have visible scars after Preservé™ augmentation?

• The incision is performed in the inflammatory fold and is just 2–3 cm long, which means that the scar is very small and almost invisible after healing. We recommend supplementary aids and procedures to promote scar healing.

What is the difference between Preservé™ and classical augmentation?

• Preservé™ is a far gentler method – the implant is inserted without cutting the tissue, the scar is smaller and the recovery is faster. Classical augmentation is suitable for larger volumes or specific anatomical indications.

When will I see the final result?

The first indication of the result is visible immediately after the surgery and the swelling will gradually recede. The final shape will become stabilized after about 2–3 months.

Can I choose the size of the implant myself?

The final choice of the size is always selected together with the plastic surgeon who takes into consideration your body, quality of the tissue and your expectations. You can get a better picture of the result from a 3D visualization. The Preservé™ method allows the use of implants up to the volume of 330 ml. If you desire a larger volume, we recommend a classical breast augmentation.
